XMT Tsp Core

Core of Topopah Spring densely welded, devitrified tuff with a continuous fracture having an average aperture of 20 microns.
These XMT Images were taken at the designated depths within the core and show the changes in pore structure moving through the core. Note the dramatic changes in the flattened glass shard paralleling the fracture.

The UFA data below shows hydraulic conductivity matric potential and air permeability results. The hydraulic conductivity and air permeability are dominated by the fracture while the matric potential is dominated by the matrix.
